Camden- Thomas S. Henry, Sr. 90, passed away Tuesday August 20, 2013 at Monroe Community Hospital, Rochester, NY. He was born July 11, 1923 in Brownville, NY a son of Bernard & Ruth Wicks Henry. Tom served with the U.S. Navy during WWII and married the former Marjorie ‘Jean’ Armstrong in Rome, NY on Jan. 27, 1945. She passed away Nov 20, 2008. Tom retired from the Camden Wire Co., in 1985 after more than 20 years as a wire drawer. He was a member of the Arthur S. Moran American Legion Post # 66, member and Past Commander Lt. Victor Giles V.F.W. Post #6530, an honorary member Marine Corp League LZ Corps #999. An accomplished musician Tom was a member of NYS Olde Tyme Fiddlers Assoc. “and now he’s playing fiddle in heaven”.  He sang with the Crimson Chords Barber Shop Chorus Quartets.  Tom played Taps at the funeral services of many veterans. He was a former Boy Scout Leader and member of St. John’s Church.
Surviving is a daughter. Sandra & Tim Wolff, Camden, two sons, Thomas & Patti Henry, Jr. and Michael Henry, all of Rochester, NY, 6 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, three sisters, Phebe & Jack Mautner, Rome, Janice & Harley Bowers, Lee Center, Mary & John Mogensen, Westernville , a brother, Michael & Sheila Henry of Boonville and Palmetto, FL, Rome, and several nieces & nephews. He was predeceased by a sister, Helene Humez and 2 brothers, Louis and Bernard Henry.  The family would like to thank the staff at Monroe Community Hospital Friendship 1 West and the Rochester Lifetime Care Hospice Service.  We also want to thank his wonderful grandchildren, Bill, Michelle, Stacy & Brad. Timmy, Denya, Mark and Jen.  You’re the best.
A Funeral Mass will be held 10:30am Friday from St. John’s Church,
Camden, NY. Interment St. John’s Cemetery. Calling hours will be held Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at LaRobardiere Funeral Home, Inc., 109 Main Street, Camden, NY. Memorial contributions may be made to NYS Olde Tyme Fiddlers Assoc., or Monroe Community Hospital Foundation. 435 East Henrietta Road, Rochester, NY 14620
