To the entire Bates family: My deepest sympathy to you all. Ken was a super man. I worked with him and I couldn't have asked for a nicer man to work with. Always willing to help in anyway he could. He loved his family, there wasn't a day that he didn't talk about how proud he was of his family. He truly was a family man in every sence of the word. He will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him

I am deeply saddened this morning reading of Ken's passing. And I am extremely saddened that I can not be there to show my support and pay my last respects.
Ken was one of the nicest guys I have met. It was a joy to work and play with Ken and his whole family.
He was one of the best coaches that the Town of Camden has ever had. It didn't matter what level, but I will always remember him as a great Little League coach.
He ALWAYS took great pride in coaching his team using honest and ethical logic.
His kids always came away from a win or a loss with a sense of understanding that it wasn't whether you won or lost, but it was how you played the game that counted. They always enjoyed the post game hotdogs with a smile on their faces.
RIP my friend. I'm sure Heaven is waiting for someone like you to coach up there.

My sympathies go out to Pat and the entire Bates family. I have fond memories of Ken as a baseball coach in years past and would like you to know that he will be missed. He was a good man and touched a lot of lives in a positive way. Although it may be challenging as you move forward from here, you are blessed to have a strong family with the support you need to go on.
