Camden – Agnes P. Crego 90, of Mexico Street, passes away on March 23, 2012 at Oneida Extended Care Facility. She was born Jan 24, 1922 in Camden, NY a daughter of Arthur & Grace Swanson McLaughlin and was a 1939 graduate of Camden High School.
On January 11, 1941 she married Lynn Lovenguth in Camden and they later divorced. She then married Howard Crego in Camden, NY on December 5, 1967. He passed away Feb 6, 1986. They had lived in Kingston, NY from 1967 until returning to Camden in 1984. Agnes was a member of the United Church of Camden (Presbyterian) and the First Presbyterian Church of Kingston and had served as a member of the Session and Board of Deacons in both churches. She retired in 1980 from Gateway Industries, Kingston, NY as a supervisor.
In high school she was active in sports, band, chorus, National Honor Society and had earned the Girl Scout Golden Eaglet Award. Later she volunteered with the Cub Scouts and was active with the Camden Little League.
Surviving are one daughter, Carol Lovenguth, Gouveneur, NY, four sons; Charles & Judith, Michael & Vanessa Lovenguth, Camden, Gary & Barbara Lovenguth, Escondido, CA, and Brian & Terri Lovenguth, Kingston, NY, sixteen grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be held at a future date. There will be no calling hours. In lieu of flowers please make memorial contributions to the United Church of Camden (Presbyterian).

Agnes was a lovely woman. I will remember her smile and the conversations we shared when she lived in the upstairs apartment. Condolences and prayers to her family. She will be missed, and she is finally at peace in Heaven.
