Taberg-Clifford C. Palmer, 80, of Taberg, passed away Saturday, February 9, 2013
at the Colonial Park Rehab and Nursing Center in Rome.  He was born December 15, 1932 in Taberg, NY a son of Charles and Amber Greggains Palmer.  Clifford was married to Joan Dean on June 28, 1958 in the United Methodist Church in Taberg.  
     Clifford was a dairy farmer until 1965 then he went to work as a mechanic at Pettibone in Rome.  He then was employed at the bus garage with Camden Central School.  Clifford was a member of the Taberg United Methodist Church, a former town of Taberg Councilman, former president of the CSEA union at Camden Central School and former vice president of the International American Machinist Union.  He enjoyed woodworking and spending time with his family.
     He is survived by his wife Joan D. Palmer; four children and spouses, Kathy and Jack Campbell of Canastota, Craig and Robin Palmer of Lee Center, Karen and George Lewis of Taberg, Patty and Mike Dell’Olio of Ontario, NY; nine grandchildren, Justin, Brandon and Sean, Jordan and Lili, Lindsay, Jenalyn, Gavin, Michael, Matthew and Joseph; five great granddaughters; a sister, Ann Britton of Williamstown; five brothers, Emery (Ruth) Palmer of NC, Thomas Palmer of Taberg, Paul Palmer of TX, Alan (Ethel) Palmer of Blossvale and Hugh Palmer of Jewel and several nieces and nephews.
       The family would like to thank the Staff at Colonial Park for their care and support of Clifford and his family.
     Funeral services will be held 11 am Wednesday, February 13, 2013 at the Taberg United Methodist Church.  Spring burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery, Taberg.  Calling hours will be held 6 to 8pm Tuesday at the LaRobardiere Funeral Home, Inc., 109 Main Street, Camden, NY.  Contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or the Taberg United Methodist Church.
