Quentin ‘Quinnie’ G. Hague 91, of Camden, NY ‘Mayor of Fourth Street’ passed away at his home on Monday February 6, 2017. He was born Dec 6, 1925 in Camden, NY a son of Alton & Fannie Campbell Hague. On March 29, 1953 he married the former Janice Murlin in Camden, NY. She passed away in 1983.  Quinnie worked for the NYS DEC prior to working for the Camden Wire Co., where he retired in 1985 as a wire drawer after 35 years. Quinnie was a former member of the Camden United Methodist Church, a NASCAR member and fan and an active member of several area car clubs. He raced stock cars from 1950-1958 and over the years restored and collected several show and Muscle cars including “The Dutchman’, a 1937 Chevy Coupe that he had owned since 1959.
Surviving are his long-time companion, Susan Haley and his adopted family, Don & Verna Weeden all of Camden, five grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren,  a sister, Audrey Fargo, Canastota, two sisters in law, Carol Abbott, Rochester and Pam Hague, Arizona and several nieces & nephews. Besides his wife and parents, Quinnie was predeceased by a sister, Lillian Nadeau and two brothers, Sheldon ‘Stub’ Hague and Raymond Alton Hague.
Funeral services will be held 4:00pm Saturday from LaRobardiere Funeral Home, Inc., Camden, NY. Spring interment Forest Lawn Cemetery. Calling hours will be held from 1-4 pm prior to services at the funeral home, 109 Main Street. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice & Palliative Care, New Hartford, NY or the Camden Area Food Pantry.

To say that Quinnie will be missed is indeed an understatement. He was without question one of the best men I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. I have many fond memories of having coffee with Quinnie at Smith's Diner and taking rides up to his property on Mad river. Rest in peace my friend.

WE ARE SO SORRY TO ABOUT QUINIE,MAY HE RIP.. WE HAVE BEEN NEIGHBORS FOR YEARS,COULD HEAR QUINIE EVERY SPRING OUT IN HIS GARAGE TUNING UP HIS COUPE.HE WILL BE TRULY MISSED.
