Marjorie Wheeler 78, formerly of Williamstown, Camden and Pulaski passed away Tuesday May 26, 2015 at Rome Memorial Hospital. She was born March 29, 1937 in Camden, NY a daughter of Warren & Thelma Meeker Flagg. On Dec 7, 1957 she married L. Robert Wheeler in Camden. Mr. Wheeler passed away Jan 31, 2007. Marjorie worked at both Omega Wire and Camden Wire companies retiring from Camden Wire Co., as a Respooler after nearly 20 years of service. She was also a member of the American Legion Post #66 Ladies Auxiliary and Purple Heart Assoc., She was active as a Den Mother with cub scouts, was a member of the former St. Patrick’s Church and an avid Yankee fan.
Surviving are a daughter, Alice & Kevin Wilson, Camden, two sons, Daniel & Missy Wheeler, Latta, SC, Dale & Shari Wheeler, Williamstown, NY, 15 grandchildren, several great grandchildren , two sisters, Carolyn Rowlands, Utica, NY, Thelma Ammann, Camden, two brothers, Alfred & Arlene Flagg, Vienna and Jerry & Bernice Flagg, Camden and several nieces and nephews. She was also predeceased by four brothers, Frank, Warren, Ezra and her twin brother, Mert along with three sisters, Marian, Eunice, Florence and a grandson, Jimmy Graves, Jr.
Calling hours will be held Saturday from 10:00am- 12:00 noon from LaRobardiere Funeral Home, Inc. Camden, NY. Graveside services will be held at a later date at Riverside Cemetery, Altmar, NY. Memorial contributions may be made to NYS Trappers Assoc., 12320 Pople Rd., Cato, NY 13033.
