Jared Warcup 89, of Vienna, NY passed away Friday February 19, 2016 at St. Luke’s Hospital, Utica, NY.  He was born November 1, 1926 in Westernville, NY a son of John & Ruth Neaskern Warcup. Jared was educated in Westernville, Rome and Holland Patent Schools along with military schools in Fort Monmouth,   Fort Devens, and Arlington, VA. He served with the US Army during the Korean Conflict. On Dec 24, 1955 he married the former Janet L. House. She passed away Jan 22, 1987. Jared worked as a structural steel shop worker for 41 years having worked for Rome Iron Mills, Rome Iron Team and finally, Raulli & Sons, retiring in 2004. His hobby was his working farm, a hobby that lasted 60 years.
Surviving are two daughters Jo Ann Allen, Williamstown, Lisa & Amie Bartholomew , North Bay, a daughter in law, Susan Warcup Sanborn, New London, grandchildren Elwyn “Hugh” & Damara Allen Jr, Michelle Arabia, Joseph Warcup, Kelli Warcup, Germaine Allen, Matthew Allen, Nina & Adam Lohr, McKenzie Allen, Howard Petrie Jr, great grandchildren, Lana Allen, Ella Allen, Avery Allen, Xavier Allen, Chloey Lohr, Wyatt Lohr, Caroline Allen, nieces and nephews, son in law, Howard Petrie Sr, New London and longtime family friend Dave Bielby, Blossvale. Besides his wife Janet, he was predeceased by an infant daughter, Susan, a son, Steven, a brother, two sisters and a son in law, Elwyn ‘Hugh’ Allen, Sr.
          Funeral Services will be held 11 am, Wednesday, from the LaRobardiere Funeral Home, Inc., Camden, NY. Interment Forest Lawn Cemetery. Calling hours will be held Tuesday from 4-7 pm at the funeral home, 109 Main Street. Memorial contributions may be made to Vienna United Methodist Church or North Bay Vol. Fire Dept., in lieu of flowers.
