     Brian G. Conley, 71, of Camden, NY passed away Thursday, July 4, 2019 at his home after a valiant fight with Agent Orange related illnesses. He was born on February 18, 1948 in Oneida, NY a son of Richard & Doris Ferris Conley. Brian graduated from Camden High School Class of 1966. He was a left handed pitcher and first baseman and was contacted by the Atlanta Braves baseball training camp to attend prior to enlisting. On November 18, 1967 he married the former Linda Simmons at the Camden United Methodist Church. Brian entered the U.S. Army on October 20, 1966, he attained the rank of Sergeant on October 8, 1968 and was honorably discharged on October 19, 1972. He served during the Vietnam War and was a recipient of the Bronze Star, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal and the Vietnam Campaign Medal. He then worked for Niagara Mohawk for nearly 30 years where he was a power control supervisor retiring in 1999.

     He was also president and founder of Tug Hill Bullet Co. from 1984-1999 and in 2000 established Tug Hill Cartridge. Brian was a former member of the Arthur S. Moran American Legion Post #66 and an active member of the Lt. Victor Giles V.F.W. Post #6530, the NRA, Camden Rod & Gun Club and the Otto Mills Hunting Club. He was very active with Camden Little League as a former vice president, coach and groundskeeper. He also played Camden Rec. Softball and coached Legion baseball.  

     Brian is survived by his wife, Linda Conley, Camden, NY, two daughters, Tammy Conley & Darryl Mawson and Kelli Conley & Rodney Facteau, all of Camden, NY, six grandchildren, Andrew Conley & Amanda O’Connell, Kara Cook & Zac Brown, Allison Smith & Joshua Havens, Amanda Spink, Emily Smith, and Rodney Facteau & Julianna Hunt, twelve great grandchildren, one brother, Timothy & Cindy Conley, mother-in-law, Eleanor Simmons, one sister-in-law, Sandy Conley, all of Camden, NY and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents Brian was predeceased by one brother, Mike Conley and one sister, Linda Conley.

     Funeral services will be held 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 10, 2019 from the Camden United Methodist Church under the direction of the LaRobardiere Funeral Home, Inc., Camden, NY. Private interment Forest Lawn Cemetery, Camden, NY. Calling hours will be held from 3:00 p.m. until the start of services at the church, 132 Main Street. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Camden Rod & Gun Club, 2655 Moran Post Road, Camden, NY 13316, Lt. Victor Giles V.F.W.
