Jeanette I. Drought, 87, of Camden, NY passed away Wednesday, October 10, 2018 at the Katherine Luther Residential Health Care and Rehabilitation Center in Clinton, NY. She was born on December 13, 1930 in Williamstown, NY, a daughter of Vernon & Margaret Proctor Rood. Jeanette married Royce P. Drought on January 10, 1953 in Williamstown, NY, he passed away November 6, 2016. She was previously employed by General Electric and was a long time representative for Fashion Wagon and Sarah Coventry product lines. Jeanette also worked at Kinney Drugs for over twenty years. She was a member of St. John’s Catholic Church and the Catholic Women’s Club. Jeanette enjoyed square dancing and gardening.

     She is survived by one son, Eugene Drought, Vernon, NY, two daughter in laws, Lois Drought, Camden, NY and Brenda Drought, Winston-Salem, NC, five grandchildren, Phillip, Michael and Christopher Drought, Tansha Nottingham and Eric Drought, five great grandchildren, one sister, Dorothy Rood, FL, and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and husband, Jeanette was predeceased two sons, Patrick and Phillip Drought, and one brother, Kenneth Rood.

     Funeral services will be held 6:00 P.M. Monday from LaRobardiere Funeral Home, Inc., Camden, NY. Calling hours will be held from 4:00-6:00 P.M. prior to services at the funeral home, 109 Main Street. Graveside services will be held 11:00 A.M. Tuesday at St. John’s Cemetery, Camden, NY. Memorial contributions in lieu of flowers may be made to St. Jude’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
