     Donald ‘Donnie’ A. Sheppard II, 34, of Camden, NY, a young man who’s time was cut short on March 29, 2019 as a result of a heroin overdose brought on by peer pressure, triggers and a relapse. He was born in Rome, NY on August 16, 1984 a son of Sandy Ross and Donald A. Sheppard and was a 2002 graduate of Camden High School. Donnie previously employed by Family Dollar, Bliss Environmental and Graham’s Refuse.

     He leaves behind his mother, Sandy and father, Donald of Camden,  a paternal grandmother, Sandy & Bob Finch, Westdale, two daughters, Autumn and Hailey Sheppard and their mother, Lisa Elrod, Syracuse, a sister, Stephanie & Tim Hopkins, Oswego, a brother, Derek Sheppard, Rome, a special girl-friend, Alicia Allen and her children; Jayden Allen, Laura and Kyle-Leigh Albrecht , a niece, Luna Hopkins, several aunts, uncles and cousins including his favorite uncle, Ron Lyke.

     Arrangements are under the direction of LaRobardiere Funeral Home, Inc., Camden, NY. Calling hours will be held Friday, April 5, 2019 from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at the funeral home, 109 Main Street.

Iam so sorry for all of this loss..he was way too young to go..iam sending my heartfelt condolences to his family and his wonderful lady friend ( Alicia) and all of the children..may he rest in peace..🙏🙏🙏. R.I.P donnie...you will be greatly missed.

it was with great sadness that we learned of Donnie's passing my condolences to you and your family on the passing of your son , I am honored and blessed to have known him , i have memories of him when his uncle and I first got together , 18 yrs ago , He was truly a blessing always smiling !! a cute kid, in this sorrowful time,i would like to extend to you my heartfelt condolences. Donnie was my first grandson. He was a great young man and I will forever love and miss him. My sympathy goes out to all the family. R.I.P L. Donnie. Love Gramma Sheppard

We r saddened by his passing and in which the manner it happened he had such a great life and beautiful children awesome loving parents by his side and a whole network of people who loved him and were there and would of been there for him if he needed it he had a demon he couldn't shake free from and it all boils down to peer pressure and that one moment in his life he couldn't say no if he only knew how short his life would be so he could say no he would be here with all of us .... We love u lil Donnie fly high hope u heal other ppl

I met Donnie in Daytona Beach, he surely was a special person.
He flew down and we visited Cocoa Beach I tried to help him stay clean.
He was my friend I’m so sorry he is gone.
He know longer has the fight the battle of drugs, I will miss him dearly so sorry he left us.
