Camden- Marian E. Coonrod 88, of Elpis Road, passed away Tuesday Aug 30, 2011 at the home of her daughter and son- in –law, Sally & Ray Johnston after a brief illness. Marian was born Jan 27, 1923 in Williamstown, NY a daughter of Charles & Jennie Ferguson Trudell.
Marian retired after many years from the Farnsworth Envelope Co.  She also worked at the local Super Duper, V & S Variety Store and Robinson’s Florist. Her love of people led her into another employment position at the age of 72 at Con Med of Rome, NY where she had worked for another 10 years.  When her health began to fail, she left her many friends in the workplace to spend her remaining years at home with Sally & Ray.
She is survived by three daughters, Mildred ‘Mickey’ & Peter Evans, Chester, ME, Kathy & Harold Babcock, Sally & Raymond Johnston, all of Camden, a son LaVerne & Molly Coonrod, all of Camden. She also leaves behind 12 treasured grandchildren, many great grandchildren and several great-great grandchildren, a sister, Leona Jones, Camden and several nieces & nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband Oscar ‘Rock’ Coonrod on Dec 24, 1983, later a special friend, Roy Williams. Also her grand-daughters, Wendy Coonrod and  Mollie Currier, four sisters, Goldie Trudell, Lula Chase, Grace Metott and Blanche Manley, three brothers, Kenneth, Leon and James Trudell. Marian was dearly loved by all that had the privilege of knowing her, she will be greatly missed.
Graveside services will be held 3:30pm Friday at McConnellsville Cemetery. Calling hours will be held prior from 1-3 pm at LaRobardiere Funeral Home, Inc., 109 Main Street, Camden, NY.  Memorial contributions may be made to Ava Dorfman Senior Center, Rome, NY, in lieu of flowers.

Kathy I am sincerely sorry to hear about Marion. She was a wonderful person. I always enjoyed working with her because she always made me laugh. You and your family are in my prayers.

so sorry for your loss. She was a wonderful person,and I am so glad she came in to my life while we both worked at the Super Duper,where we had some good times. May she rest in peace.

Marion was one of those people the world sorely needs more of: Always a kind thing to say, or a helpful remark. I will miss her chats when I go for my walks around the neighborhood. My condolences to all the Coonrod family. She will be missed.
