It is with regret that I learn of Nancy's death. God knows that she suffered enough, and we can all be consoled that she is now at peace. Her life is certainly changed, but it is not ended; she is in a better place.
Christians believe that after our earthly pilgrimage there is life without end. And Christians believe that Baptism washes one clean from all faults and failures, remits anything that makes one displeasing to God. What a blessing for her, and what a consolation for all of us, is her deathbed request for an reception of Baptism. It assures us that she is with God and that she is looking out for each of us.
Grief and sadness are a normal response to a loved one's passing. But there should also be joy that she has so well finished her life here.
Be at peace!

To the wonderful family members of Nancy,

I am sad because Nancy wanted so much to be back home, and to walk again. In a way, she is both home, and walking, even dancing, in God's presence, and seeing all those she loved who went before her.

It was a blessing to meet all of you, and I am glad you listened to her desire for Baptism. That was a special day for me, for her, and I hope for all of you.

May your memories be a source of healing and blessing for each of you. All of you are in my prayers.

Love,

Sister Alice

Dear Family of Nancy,

You are all in my thoughts and prayers. Nancy wanted to go home, and to walk, and in a way, she has done both: at home with the Lord, and walking, probably dancing!

It was a blessing to spend time with all of you, to share in her Baptismal ceremony, and to just be with her and all of you, even though it was painful to see her struggle.

May your memories of Nancy be ones which bring you peace and strength in the days, months and years ahead. You are a wonderful family, and Nancy continues to be a wonderful person!

Love and prayers,

Sister Alice

Bud and I would like to convey our condolences to all of Nancy's family. She was a sweet soul who went through some major sadness here on earth with the fire and losing her daughter, husband and niece. She finished raising her children alone with all the strength and courage we could all only hope to have. She loved her family and she will be with you always. I remember sitting on her porch one sunny afternoon and we shared tangerines that she had just gotten. We talked of the "old days" and all that goes with it and shed some tears and shared some laughs. She is reunited with her lost loved ones and awaits for the circle to be complete again. God Bless you Nancy because he already blessed us with you. Much love to the children and grand children....
