Camden- Robert E. DeWolfe, 87, of Camden passed away Friday January 18, 2013, at Rome Memorial Hospital.  Robert was born June 7, 1925 in McConnellsville the son of Edward and Mary Robinson DeWolfe.  Bob was a graduate of Camden Central Schools.  He was a decorated U S Army WW II veteran, serving in the European Theatre.  Robert was married to Joyce Marion Grinnell on August 28, 1947.  She died on January 15, 2003.
       Bob was employed as a mechanic with Jay’s Sales and Service in Blossvale and Camden for many years.  Later he retired from NYNEX in 1989.  Robert enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. The family would like to thank the staff at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital, Rome Memorial Hospital, especially 2 North; Dr. Potluri and Dr. Brian Alessi.
       He is survived by two daughters, Annette Smothers of Taberg, Heidi and Bruce Buell of Rochester; two sons, Robert A. DeWolfe and Linda Engstrom of Camden and James M. DeWolfe of Durhamville; ten grandchildren; three great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews and many in-laws.  Also surviving is a former daughter-in-law Ruth DeWolfe.  He was predeceased by a daughter Sharon, a baby brother Leland and a son-in-law Andrew Smothers.
       Funeral services will be held 11 am Monday, January 21, 2013 at LaRobardiere Funeral Home, Inc. Spring interment will be in McConnellsville Cemetery.  Calling hours will 2 to 5 pm Sunday at the funeral home, 109 Main Street, Camden. Contributions may be made to the Camden Volunteer Fire Dept. or the Camden Ambulance Fund.

To The Dewolfe family! So sorry to hear about the passing of Mr. Dewolfe! I always loved seeing him in the grocery store! He hasalways had a kind heart! So sorry I could not be at the calling hours, as My shift at the casino was 11am to 7pm that day. I would of loved to see all of you! Again, I am so sorry!
