I will miss Skahan more than can be put in words. His smiling face and jocular manner always made my day, and made me feel special. We all miss him at the bus yard..........but we know he's with us in spirit, and we'll get to see him again when we go home ourselves. We love you, Skahan!

I am so sorry to learn of Skahan's passing. I was a classmate of Skahan's and graduated with him from North Stanly High School in 1965. I will remember him for his kindness, smile, football and just all around nice person. I am so very sorry.

Gary and I were saddened by the news of Skahan''s passing.
When we moved back to NY from Arkansas, one of the first people I ran into was Skahan, in the Post Office. A big thing in the south is to give a "Southern Hug"... Sure enough right there in the PO, Skahan gave me a ''''big ''ol southern hug''''!! Then every time we saw each other, be it at the P&C, a golf outing, a wire association banquet, same thing!!
When he became a bus driver, I''d be on my way to work and meet the line of busses heading to school in Camden. Just as one would be nearly by me, I''d see the hand raised in a wave. "Oh! There''s Skahan!" Funny when I see that line, I still look to see him wave.
Rest in peace, Skahan... a ''big hug'' to ya!
