So sorry to hear of Gary's passing, he was a great friend and classmate. He actually was a cousin of my next door neighbors growing up, the Grinnels. I remember pitching against him in Little League one time. He hit a screaming line drive that about took off my head. I just had time to instinctively duck; I think I feebly put up my glove as an afterthought, but the ball was past second base by then. Great times! Haven't seen him much since school but remember him with much fondness. Thanks Gary, for positive and fun memories!
