Louis R. Amo 89, of Taberg passed away Monday October 26, 2015 at his home. He was born Jan 28, 1926 in Norfolk, NY a son of Edward & Bertha Adams Amo and was a graduate of Massena High School. He served with the US Army during WWII. Louis retired after 42 years of service from Revere Copper & Brass in 1987 as an inspector. Following retirement he worked for the Town of Annsville for about 10 years. Louis was a longtime member of the Meeker- O’Rourke American Legion and Taberg Vol. Fire Department Taberg, NY and an avid hunter for most of his life. He was predeceased by his wife, the former Cecilia Savoy, she passed away January 2, 1992.
Surviving are his daughter, Bonnie & Roger Mahl, Taberg, five sons, Louis Amo, Jr, Rome, Raymond Amo & Nancy Kozick, Blossvale, Steve Amo, Taberg, Kevin Amo & Bobbi Jo Marshall, Taberg, Keith & Linda Amo, Taberg,  a daughter in law, Linda Furney, Daytona, FL, 22 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and several nieces & nephews. Besides his wife and parents, he was predeceased by a son, Roger Amo, July 25, 1986 and a step son, Richard ‘Dick’ Furney, Nov 27, 2007.
Graveside services will be held 11:00am Tuesday at Maple Hill Cemetery, Taberg, NY under the direction of LaRobardiere Funeral Home, Inc., Camden, NY. Calling hours will be held Monday from 3-6 pm at the funeral home, 109 Main Street, Camden, NY
