Frederick W. Adams, 81, of Camden, passed away Thursday, October 29, 2015, at the Oneida Healthcare Center after a long illness.  He was born October 22, 1934, a son of Lyle Adams and Gladys Lundrigan Adams in the Town of Annsville.  He was employed by the former Rome Developmental Center until he retired in 1989. He was married to Mary Joanne Gilland, his wife of 43 years until her death in 2006. He lived on the family homestead until he retired.  He then moved to Minnesota, residing there for many years until the passing of his wife in 2006.  Besides working for the state of New York he was an avid farmer and woodsman, as well as being a professional meat cutter and welder, and held a CDL license.  He was one of Jehovah’s Wittnesses and enjoyed telling others the word of God.
     He is survived by his daughter, Rebekah and her husband Stephen Smith, of Camden, as well as his sister, Evelyn Moore, of Rome, and many nieces & nephews.  Besides his wife, he is predeceased by his son, Seth, and his two sisters, Muritta Douglas and Elaine Niles.
      A Memorial service will be held 6:00 pm, Friday Nov.13, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 6615 Potter Rd., Rome, NY.  Arrangements are under the direction of LaRobardiere Funeral Home, Inc., 109 Main Street, Camden, NY.  In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in Frederick’s memory to the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 6615 Potter Road, Rome, NY 13440.
