Thomas Patrick Carroll, 79, Camden, passed away March 7, 2016 at the Sunset Home, Boonville, NY. He was born in Syracuse, NY on March 12, 1936, a son of Thomas Joseph and Caroline Pinter Carroll.
      Pat was a 1954 graduate of the North Syracuse High School and served our country in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War Era in Japan.  He was discharged in 1958 as Boatwains Mate 2nd Class.  Later Pat served in the U.S. Coast Guard Reserves and was discharged in 1967 as Boatwains Mate 1st Class.  He was a truck driver for several companies including UPS, Rite Aid, Miller Brewing and retired from Teamsters Local 317 and Montgomery Ward in 1986 after more than 25 years of service. Pat was a member of Teamsters Local 317 Retirees Association, a PUFL member and Past Commander of the Arthur S. Moran American Legion Post #66, Camden, a Life member of the Lt. Victor Giles VFW Post #6530, Camden, and the Stanwix Veterans and Men’s Club, Rome,  member of the Frank J. Steczko Post, Rome, and the Oneida County 40 et 8 Voiture 92.
      Besides his parents, Pat was predeceased by Lillian T. Carroll, the mother of his children, who passed away in 2007.
       Surviving Pat are his two sons, Timothy & Fernanda Carroll and children, Samantha and Brandon Carroll, Cicero, NY, and Thomas Joseph, Brattleboro, VT, his daughter, Mary & Mark Haines and children, Dylan and Audrey Haines, Liverpool, NY, also survived by his wife, Mary Lou, and many friends.
      Graveside services will be held 1:00pm Saturday March 19, 2016 at St. John’s Cemetery, Camden, under the direction of the LaRobardiere Funeral Home, Inc., 109 Main St., Camden, NY.  There will be no calling hours.  Contributions may be made in Pat’s memory to the Sunset Home, Inc., Activities Fund, 232 Academy St., Boonville, NY   13309 or Education Fund for Samantha and Brandon Carroll, c/o Timothy Carroll, 8321 Nates Lane, Cicero, NY  13039.
