Violet M. Wing 80, of Camden, NY passed away April 13, 2016 in Rome Memorial Hospital. She was born May 4, 1935 in Keene, NY a daughter of Wilford & Josephine Cotey Chamberlain. On August 11, 1956 she married George W. Wing in Brandt Lake, NY. Mr. Wing passed away in 1989. Violet previously worked at the Valentine Nursing Home, Val Haven Home for Adults and the Talamo Home as a healthcare aide. She also worked as a self-employed house and home cleaner.
Surviving are four daughters, Grace & Howard Edel, New Hartford, NY, Irene & Bob Reader, Scottsville, VA, Karen & Ralph Faga, Utica, NY, Mary & Edward Wing-Marshall, Rome, NY, four sons, Edwin & Cynthia Wing, Camden, Bill & Susan Wing, Van Dyne, WI, George & Lauri Wing, Camden, Clarence & Kelly Wing, Canastota, 22 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and several nieces & nephews. She was predeceased by 5 brothers and 2 sisters.
Calling hours will be held Monday from 10-12:00pm from LaRobardiere Funeral Home, Inc., 109 Main Street, Camden, NY followed by graveside services at Forest Lawn Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one’s choice in lieu of flowers.
