Camden- Thelma E. Ammann 71, of St. Rt. 69 passed away Friday May 6, 2016 at her home surrounded by family. She was born August 3, 1944 in Camden, NY a daughter of Warren & Thelma Meeker Flagg. On Nov 4, 1961 she married her best friend Walter C. Ammann at the United Presbyterian Church, Camden, NY. Many years later Thelma went back to school to receive her diploma and was a proud graduate of the Camden High School Class of 2000. Her husband Walter passed away May 28, 2010. Thelma worked at the Camden Super Duper for 25 years as the Deli/Bakery manager. She then worked at the deli in Walmart after Super Duper closed until retiring in 2011. She previously worked with the Camden Central Schools as a member of the cafeteria staff.
She was a member of the Arthur S. Moran American Legion and Lt. Victor Giles V.F.W. Post ladies auxiliaries, was a participant in the Camden Relay for Life and an active parent with Cub Scout and Brownie troops over the years and former Past President of Camden Little League.
Surviving are a daughter, Karen & Joseph Renwick, daughter in law, Diane Ammann, all of Camden, three sons, Mark & Katherine Ammann, Sylvan Beach, Michael & Susan Ammann, Mt. Airy, NC and Matthew Ammann, Marcellus, nine grandchildren, one great grandson, one sister, Carolyn Rowlands, Utica, two brothers, Alfred Flagg, Vienna and Jerry & Bernice Flagg, Camden, NY and several nieces & nephews. Thelma was also predeceased by two sons, Scott A. Ammann, Nov 19, 1989, Walter C. ‘Chuck’Ammann, Jr, March 12, 2008, four sisters, Marion Bennett, Eunice Wiggins, Marjorie Wheeler and Florence Wallis, four brothers, Warren, William ‘Frank’, Ezra and Merton Flagg.
Funeral services will be held 10:00am Tuesday from LaRobardiere Funeral Home, Inc, Camden, NY. Interment Forest Lawn Cemetery. Calling hours will be held Monday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the funeral home, 109 Main Street.    Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice & Palliative Care, New Hartford, NY in lieu of flowers.

I am so sorry to hear of Thelma passing. My thoughts are with all of you at this time. Do to just having back surgery I will not be able to attend calling hours. Just know my prayers are with you.

My deepest sympathy for the loss of my dear cousin. My thoughts and prayers are with you all and I praise God that I was able to spend time with everyone when I was visiting Thelma. I know that someday we will gather in eternity! I love and will surely miss you, Thelma.

the all the Ammann family I want to express my Condolences to all of you. I knew her from when she worked at the super Duper she was always ready to help any customer that would ask her a question. Love all the food that she would make. I will be praying the family as you go through this difficult time may God bless you all with all your wonderful memories.

So sad to learn of Thelmas passing.
She was always so knowledgeable of things, friendly, and made tastey treats.
Im glad she came in to pick up a few things and I got to see her before she was admitted to hospital.
I will miss her.
Never forget her-she was one in a million.
