      Dorthea S. Carleton 91, formerly of Camden, NY passed away at the Crest Manor Nursing Facility in Fairport, NY. She was born January 1, 1926 in McConnellsville, NY a daughter of  B. Harrison  & Minnie Rima Scales. Dorthea was a 1942 graduate of Camden High School. On Oct 12, 1946 she married John S. Carleton in McConnellsville, NY. He passed away April 16, 2012.  Dorthea formerly worked for the Crouse-Hinds Company, Cantebury Press and Farnsworth Printing. She also served as Deacon for the former United Church of Camden (Presbyterian).

      Surviving are a daughter, JoAnn & Ray Geitka. Beverly Hills, CA, a son, Jeffrey & Patricia Carleton, Fairport, NY, two grandchildren, Cheri & Dan Rothman, Jillian & Greg Janaczek, five great grandchildren; Jake, Ben and Sophie Rose Rothman, Olivia and Julia Janaczek, a cousin, Alex Scales and family and several nieces & nephews.

      Private funeral arrangements are under the direction of LaRobardiere Funeral Home, Inc., 109 Main Street, Camden, NY. As was Dorthea’s wish, there will be no calling hours. I'm so sorry to hear of Dorthea's passing. We bowled together for years and enjoyed several bowling trips to various tournaments. A lot of good memories. My prayers are with your family.
