Camden—Charles F. Davis, Sr., 60, of 20 Washington St., passed away unexpectedly on Friday, May 19, 2017, at his home.

      He was born on July 23, 1956, in Rome, the son of Gerald and Ursula Meier Davis.  Charles was a graduate of Camden High School, Class of 1975.

      He proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army.

      Charles was employed as a machine operator for International Wire in Camden for over thirty years.  He was planning on retiring in September.

      He enjoyed hunting, fishing, cars, and rock ’n’ roll music.  Charles was a former member of the Williamstown American Legion Post 1128.

      Surviving are his three children, Heather (Brian) Morris, of Florence, SC, Charles Davis, II, (Kim Baker), of Camden, and Danielle (Skip) Graham, of Blossvale; eight grandchildren, Alyssa Babcock, twins Jacob and Garrett Babcock, and Lindsay Dingman, Kyla Davis, Selena Ott, Corinne Lenart, and Maryssa Parker; two sisters, Laura (Eugene) King, of Williamstown, and Deborah Davis, of Rome; a brother, Daniel L. Davis; and several nieces and nephews.  Charles was predeceased by a brother, Richard Davis.

      Family and friends are invited and may call on Tuesday, May 23, 2017, from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at the LaRobardiere Funeral Home, Inc., 109 Main St., Camden.  Memorial contributions may be made in Charles’s memory to a charity of one’s choice.
