     Cape Coral, FL- Elizabeth M. ‘Betty’ Deeley Flagg, 84, formerly of Camden, NY, passed away after a long illness Friday afternoon, October 20, 2017 at her home in Cape Coral with the love and support of her children and their spouses under the care of Hope Hospice.

     Betty was born the oldest of seven children on October 10, 1933 in Malone, NY the daughter of Noah & Ida Green Martineau. Betty was married to Paul Deeley, Sr. for 44 years, he passed away on December 5, 1996. She worked alongside of Paul, Sr. at their business, Deeley’s Body Shop and along with their oldest son, Paul, Jr.

     Betty found love again when she married Merton Flagg they were married for 10 years, he passed away on December 3, 2008. She was employed by her son, Paul, Jr.’s restaurant, the Knotty Pine in Wampsville, NY as a prep cook. She later became a home health aide for Caregivers in Rome, NY. After Merton’s passing Betty moved to Pennsylvania to live with her youngest daughter and son-in-law, they relocated to Cape Coral, FL for the last three years of her life.

     Betty enjoyed fishing, hunting and the New York Yankees.

     Surviving are her six children, Paul & Darlene Deeley, Jr. of Zephyrhills, FL, Sherry Congden Warren & John Warren of Blossvale, NY, Kim Deeley, Lewisberry, PA, Lesa Hammond of Rome, NY, Tina & Jim Dilorio of Sylvan Beach, NY, and Tabatha & Ammon Hoffner of Cape Coral, FL, 21 grandchildren, 43 great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren, one sister, Mary & John Sikes of Homosassa Springs, FL, one brother, John Martineau of Camden, NY. Betty was predeceased by her sons, Don Deeley and Chris Deeley, one grandson, Don Winton, and siblings, Bruce Martineau, Bobby Martineau, Richard Martineau and Wanda Martineau.

     Funeral Services will be held 1:00 P.M. Saturday, November 4, 2017 from the LaRobardiere Funeral Home, Inc. 109 Main Street Camden, NY. Calling hours will be held from 11:00 AM to 1:00 P.M. prior to the service. Interment Fish Creek Landing Cemetery, Blossvale, NY.

Aunt Betty was a very nice person always had a smile on her face whenever I saw her. She will be missed.

Aunt Betty was a close friend to mom They shared many troubling times together and I know her and mom will laugh and be together as well as our dads and uncles . Im glad i had a chance to work and atleast be around them as family growing up .
