We are so sorry on the loss of your husband, Harold. He was such a Godly man and we are so happy we got to know him. What a blessed Easter he had in Heaven with his Savior.

Harold... I sit looking at your picture and have a long stream of memories running through my mind and heart. I don't expect you can hear me or see what I'm writing, but still it seems right to just 'talk' to you.
God brought us together at such a very important time in my life when I was just 11 and you were 16 at that time back in 1947. We did so much together, had so much fun, got into so much mischief. I see you standing there as I brought the big John Deere back to the farm, careened into the driveway almost on 2 wheels, and couldn't stop the thing because I wasn't heavy enough to actuate the brakes. But the hay wagon stopped it! Then when you burned up that old Ford, setting it on fire while my head was poked in the window on the other side... the explosion knocking me on the ground and the neighbors all came running. Church services together, you as one of the ushers at our wedding Easter Sunday 1955... on and on the memories go. And now you've gone home, your Eternal Home, leaving behind so many of us that loved you greatly.
I never got to meet your kids nor their families, but they must all be terrific, knowing the two of you, you and Carolyn. But I did get to spend some time these last few years with you two at Brooktondale. What precious times they were. I can still see the two you back there in back part of the camp grounds, sitting out in front of that old cabin, just enjoying the peace and quiet.
I don't know if there's shouting going on where you are. I imagine there is and lots of it, and that you are right in the middle of it all. shouting and praising the Lamb with all those around you. Just hang on my friend. It won't be long and the rest of us who know and serve that same Lamb will be there too, joining you in the songs of praise and rejoicing in His presence.
You always knew me as... Ronnie. :-)
