Osceola- Karen L. Witzigman 75, of Comins Road passed away unexpectedly on Sept. 8, 2018 at the Oneida Healthcare Center. She was born June 2, 1943 a daughter of Robert & Laura Beckwith Tobiasson and was a graduate of Union Springs Academy. On Sept. 30, 1977 she married Lawrence F. Witzigman in Osceola, NY. He passed away April 8, 2007. Karen worked for the Camden Wire Company for many years as a bobbin operator, retiring in 1995. She then worked at the Turning Stone Casino as a cashier retiring in 2011. She enjoyed hunting, four wheeling, motorcycle riding and a lot of good times with friends at the Osceola Hotel and Cedar Pines restaurant.
Surviving are a daughter, Patricia ‘Diane’ Dutch, five sons, Larry, Jr. and Valerie Witzigman all of Osceola, NY, Warren & Robin Witzigman, Taberg, NY, Bryan & Kathy Witzigman, Rome, NY, Cory & Susan Witzigman, Blossvale, NY and John Hurd, Alabama, 13 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren, a special companion, William Wesseldine, two sisters, Bonnie Sue Reiner, Fern & George Johnson, all of Blossvale, NY, two brothers, Robert & Gail Tobiasson, Blossvale, NY and Everette & Nanette
Tobiasson, West Turin, NY and several nieces & nephews. Besides her parents and husband, she was predeceased by a great grand daughter, Emily Lee Witzigman, a sister, Rebecca and a brother, Thomas Tobiasson.
Funeral services will be held 11:45am Friday from LaRobardiere Funeral Home, Inc., Camden, NY. Interment Salmon River Cemetery, Osceola, NY. Calling hours will be held Friday from 10:00am prior to services at the funeral home, 109 Main Street. Memorial contributions may be made to OHAC (Osceola Horses A_ _ Club) 1087 Comins Rd., Redfield, NY 13437 or the Redfield Vol. Fire Dept in lieu of flowers.
