Elaine B. Pattington, 84 of Camden, NY, went home to be with her Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ on March 9, 2019. She was born November 29, 1934 in Horseheads, NY a daughter of Earl and Marlee Rhodes Bowen.  Elaine was a 1952 graduate of Odessa High School.  On June 28, 1952 she married George Pattington in Odessa, NY.  In 1954 they started their ministry at the Shady Grove Wesleyan Church in Corning, NY where George was Pastor. Two years later they received the call to the Boylston Wesleyan Church where they ministered for 9 years before coming to Camden, NY in 1965 to establish a Wesleyan Church. For the last 35 years she has ministered with George at the Hillsboro Baptist church, as organist and Pastor’s wife. She taught Piano lessons for many years to hundreds of students in the Camden area and was still giving lessons at age 84. However, she always identified her main work as serving the Lord as a Pastor’s wife. Friends and family will remember Elaine as a wonderful caring and giving person.

The Camden Community has once again lost a pillar...Elaine and George were marvelous people. However, how can one be sad over the rejoicing that is taking place at the feet of Jesus. The reunion of George, Elaine and their deceased children....the heavens are rejoicing! May you rest in peace dear, Elaine. Our deepest love and sympathies are sent to her surviving family members in the hope that the memories made will sustain them in the days ahead. Peace and blessings to all.

Mrs. Pattington, I am very sorry to hear about your mother-in-law's passing. She was quite a remarkable woman up to the time of her passing with being active in the community and giving piano lessons. My prayers are with your family during this very difficult time.

One of the nicest ladies to ever walk this earth. My Aunt Lillian Brown and her ran the CYC when my brother and I went there as kids in the early 70s. She was always extremely nice to my mother and always spoke kindly of her even when my mom was not well. Sad to see of her passing.

I have always wondered where the Pattington's went after the Boylston Wesleyan Church. I was just 13 when we started going to that church. I played Basketball on the church team and remember how nice Mrs. Pattington was to me. I joined the Navy at 16 and never saw them again. I happened on this obit by chance and was saddened to learn of her passing. She was friends with my Mom, who passed away a few years ago.
My Heart goes out to her family and they will be in my prayers.
God Bless each of you!

Mrs Pattington was an amazing women. Her love of the Lord shinned through her everyday of her life. Her guidance & kindness she offered to our family many times through the years. She beautifully played the piano at our wedding & was there for the dedications of all our 3 sons. She would send cards, call and always pray faithfully. She always had a smile on her face and a comforting hug. We are sure she has a very special place in heaven. This last year she lead our Aleesha to know God and ask him into her heart, God Bless you Mrs.Pattington.

By the mercies of God and the pastoring of Rev. George and Elaine I was saved in 1985. It is a great comfort to know they are reunited now and rejoicing at the feet of Christ. May He comfort those who remain until the circle is unbroken! Love to all of you.

I would like to extend my deepest sympathies and condolences to you family Elaine. I remember the night that we would come over to Bible reading, and devotion with you and your family. As well as big piano lessons you would give me they weren't always consistent but you did give me some at times. I was very blessed by God to have gotten to know you and your husband and your children. My deepest prayer is that God will carry your children in the palm of his precious hands and see them through this time of loss and darkness and help them find some peace and comfort. God took a beautiful rose from the garden the day that he took you may you rest in peace Elaine God bless your family. I would like to extend your family that if they remember me and would like to get in touch with me if they are more than welcome to either by letter to 3665 North E Street San Bernardino California 92405 would be apartment 20 or they can just send it to RamosMadrigalk@aol.com. my love and prayers are with you
