     Minnie I. Prosser, 94, of Camden, NY passed away peacefully Thursday, June 13, 2019 at Bethany Gardens Skilled Living Center where she had been a resident for two years. She was born on December 14, 1924 in Vienna, NY a daughter of Leland & Frances Brown Loomis. Minnie graduated from Camden High School Class of 1942 and worked for Rome Cable Corp. as an inspector from 1942-1944. She proudly served with the United States Marine Corp. during WWII from 1944-1946.  Minnie then attended cosmetology school in Syracuse and New York City in 1947. She owned and operated Marcellus Beauty Lounge in Rome, NY from 1947-1954. She was previously married to John Leo Donnelly in 1954. Minnie then married Harry J. Prosser on August 17, 1973 in Lee Center, NY, he passed away June 6, 2000. She was a charter and lifetime member of Marine Corp. League LZ Old Corp. Det. 999, member of Arthur S. Moran Post #66 American Legion and a charter member of the Women’s Memorial in Washington D.C.

     Minnie is survived by three sons, Paul J. & Helen Donnelly, Australia, Timothy L. & Veda Donnelly, Taberg, NY, Kenneth J. Donnelly, Victor, IA, one step-daughter, Christine Prosser, Keene, NY, eight grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and husband, Minnie was predeceased by five brothers, Wesley, Lauren, Roger, Robert, and Ronald and four sisters, Joyce, Barbara, Dorothy and Shirley.

     Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Saturday, June 22, 2019 from LaRobardiere Funeral Home, Inc. Interment McConnellsville Cemetery, McConnellsville, NY. Calling hours will be held from 4:00-7:00 p.m. Friday, June 21, 2019 at the funeral home, 109 Main Street, Camden, NY. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Marine Corp. League LZ Old Corp. Det. 999, P.O. Box 296, Camden, NY 13316.

Minnie I will never forget going to meet you for the first time before I left for boot camp in 1998. You lived in the apt in Camden. And where such an inspiration. You will forever be a legend to me as well as many others. Semper FIDELIS sister rest easy for Heaven is more beautiful to view for gaining such a special angel. My condolences to your family.
