Cherie Ann Guppy, 80, of West Monroe, NY, passed away Wednesday, January 8, 2020 at St. Luke Health Services, Oswego, NY.
    Cherie was born in Cleveland, NY, daughter of the late Arden and Alice Stinger.  Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her Husband, Hoyt Guppy, a brother, Arden Stinger, Jr., and special friend, Dawn Morgan.  
    Cherie enjoyed golf, hunting, camping, horseshoes, bowling, casino trips (win or lose), and spending time with her family and friends.  She was a member of the Cleveland United Methodist Church and Order of the Eastern Star.  Cherie retired from APW schools as a bus driver in 1994.
    Surviving are her children, Donna (Dan) Kelliher, of Richmond, VA, Karl (Elaine) Guppy, of West Monroe, James Guppy, of West Palm Beach, Fl., and Arden Guppy, of Oswego, NY.  She is also survived by three grandchildren, 1st Sergeant Kyle Guppy, USMC, Kaitlyn Guppy, and Whitney Kressel, two great-grandchildren, Kyle Guppy, Jr. and Kade Guppy, two sisters, Nancy Griesmyer, of Cleveland, NY, and Gail Whitney, of Bernhards Bay, NY, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
    A Celebration of Cherie’s life is being held Saturday, August 21, 2021 at the Cleveland United Methodist Church, calling hour 10:00 – 11:00, 11:00 Service, burial 2:00 at Union Settlement Cemetary, West Monroe.  Contributions in her memory may be made to the Cleveland United Methodist Church, PO Box 188, Cleveland, NY  13042.
    On her 80th birthday, when asked what she had to say after 80 years, Cherie without hesitation replied “What a Ride!”

I am sorry to hear of your moms' passing. She was a very awesome lady.
You all were Bless to have had a mom as nice as she was and fun. She always was the cool bus driver when we had trips

I remember your mom always having a big smile. How she ever put up with us kids on the bus I'll never know. Please know I am thinking of you and your family in my thoughts and prayers.
