     Jeannette J. Scott, 86, of Blossvale, NY passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 9, 2020 at Crouse Hospital in Syracuse, NY. She was born on October 22, 1933 in Panther Lake, NY a daughter of Guy & Hazel Jenkins O’Connell. Jeannette married Gerald N. Scott on November 15, 1952 in Rome, NY. She taught Sunday School at the former Blossvale Community Chapel, volunteered at the board of elections for the Town of Annsville and was a volunteer fundraiser for the American Cancer Society. Jeannette was an avid reader who enjoyed gardening, puzzles, watching birds and animals and cooking for her family.

     Jeannette is survived by her husband of  sixty-seven years, Gerald Scott, Blossvale, NY, two daughters, Valerie & Robert Garrett, Rexford, NY and Pamela & Tim Luther, Verona, NY, five grandchildren, Todd & Mara Luther, Corey & Leana Finster, Paul Cox, Jr., Kelly & Kevin Kolmetz and Robert & Gabrielle Garrett, seven great-grandchildren, Elayna and William Kolmetz, Bo Luther, Evelyn Garrett, Case, Laila and Leigha Finster, several nieces and nephews and her loyal feline friend, Patches. Besides her parents she was predeceased by one daughter, Judy Campbell, one grandson, John Finster and three brothers, Thomas, Robert and Donald O’Connell.

     Funeral services will be held 6:00 p.m. Monday, January 13, 2020 from the LaRobardiere Funeral Home, Inc., Camden, NY. Private interment Forest Lawn Cemetery, Camden, NY. Calling hours will be held from 4:00 p.m. until the start of services at the funeral home, 109 Main Street. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Taberg Volunteer Fire Department/Rescue.

Mr. Scott, Valerie, Pam and Family, please accept my condolence for the loss of your Wife/Mom. It hurts to lose a loved one, but the wonderful memories Mrs. Scott left behind will help keep her alive in your hearts and mines forever.
