Harriette Louise Halliwell  75, of Rome, NY passed away on Monday, March 2, 2020 at The Grand of Rome where she had been a resident for the past 13 years. At the onset of her disability, her care was provided by Audrey Gurski and her family at their home in Cleveland, NY. Louise was born May 18, 1944 in Rome, NY, the youngest daughter of Caradoc and Harriette Munn Halliwell. She attended Stanwix and Oriskany schools and was a 1964 graduate of Rome Free Academy. Louise was an employee of the CNY DSO for over 15 years until she was no longer able to work due to illness. She was a longtime member of the Wesleyan Church in Rome, and will be happily reunited in Heaven with her family.
Louise was a very caring daughter, sister, and aunt, and all of those who knew her loved her. The family wishes to acknowledge and thank the staff at The Grand for their wonderful care and compassion over the many years she was with them.
She is survived by her sister, Anna Beatrice Sharpe of Verona, her brother Robert John & Phyllis Halliwell of Camden, and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by two sisters, Mary Smith of Colorado Springs, and Roberta Halliwell of Rome, her beloved niece, Julie Halliwell LaBrie and three nephews James, William and Steven Sharpe.
Funeral services will be held 11:00am Thursday from LaRobardiere Funeral Home, Inc., Camden, NY. Spring Interment Westmoreland Union Cemetery. Calling hours will be held from 10:00am until services at the funeral home, 109 Main Street. Memorial contributions in lieu of flowers may be made to the Abundant Life Community Church, Camden, NY
