Shirley Marie Willson , Rome, New York, passed away on March 27, 2020.  She was the daughter of Ella and Ervin Willson, she was born in Rome New York on August 12, 1938. She was 81 years old.  She was raised in Camden NY and lived with her family on the Moran Post Road where her family operated a dairy farm.
Shirley attended Camden schools and work many years with the DDS group out of Rome. She lived many years with her Mom in Taberg until her Mom’s death in 2008. The she moved to Sylvan Beach where her niece and nephew Annette and Dooly Willson could look after her. In 2014, she then moved to Betsy Ross Nursing home where she resided until her death.
Shirley is survived by her brothers, Harold Willson and Doug Summers, Rochester, and Aunt Clara and David Loveland, Camden and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was predeceased by her parents Ella Seiple and Ervin Willson, sister Joyce Willson Armstrong, brothers Robert, Leon (Zig), Warren and Kenny.
The family would like to say thank you to Belinda and Robert Fuller, Ruby and Robert Walker, Luanne  Willson Madia, to a long time friend Marge Bartlett and to all the staff at Betsy Ross for the loving care they provided to Shirley.


There will be no calling hours. Graveside services will be held on Wednesday August 12,2020 at 12:00pm noon at Forest Lawn Cemetery, Camden, NY.celebrating her life. LaRobardiere Funeral Home, Inc., Camden, NY is in charge of arrangements.

Family of Shirley Willson, You are in our prayers. I was sad to read of Shirley in the Camden paper with the lovely photo. Beatrice O'Connor Heberger Formerly of Cleveland, NY. I met your family while working at the Back Lantern Restaurant in Camden.
