Amelia Rodriguez Weeden, age 78, of Camden, NY, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, May 2, 2020. She was surrounded by her loving husband Daniel and their four children, Rodney, Annette, Audrey and Angi by her side.

She was born in Puerto Rico in March of 1942 along with her twin sister, the late Amalia Arno. She also had a sister, Elsie and brother, George Rodriguez. Their parents later moved to Central Square, NY, where she attended Seventh Day Adventist School at Union Springs Academy. Here is where she met and married her lifelong love Daniel of 58 years. Together, they raised four children in Camden, NY.

     Throughout her life, she worked a variety of jobs to include being a Dietitian at Stonehedge Nursing Home, Rome, NY. She enjoyed many hobbies, such as scuba diving, playing the piano, singing and dancing. She was known for being a generous, kind, and interesting person. Friends and family will always remember her for her witty personality and kind soul.

     In addition to her husband Daniel, she is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Rodney & Angela Weeden, daughters and sons-in-law, Annette & Ivo Nedic’, Audrey & Mike Lappin, and Angi & Kevin Kirk, ten grandchildren; Cambria and Casen Weeden, Brian and Shane Farr, Ashley Simmons, Jake and Kyle Lappin, Randy Fox, Alyse and Kevin Kirk Jr., several great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, brother and sisters-in-law.

     Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, a private funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 7, 2020 at LaRobardiere Funeral Home Inc., 109 Main Street, Camden, NY. Burial will follow at McConnellsville Cemetery. A memorial service in her honor will be held at a future date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to the Seventh Day Adventist Church, 11 Main Street, Camden, NY, 13316.

I'm so sorry to hear about Amelia's passing! She was a wonderful woman! I will always enjoy my memories of her coming into the bank and telling me her jokes!!

Prayer for all of you. Her personality will be truly missed. I'm sure her jokes will be flooding through heavens gate and gardens. She was a jester and her humorous memories will never be forgotten.

My deepest sympathy to you Audrey, Angie & entire Weeden family😥. Your mom was such a pint size stick of dynamite!! What a great lady...I used to love to listen to her, she was so funny🧡 Great memories of her from when we were all in school!! I hope you will always celebrate her life.
