Aniela Mocek Spencer, 90, of Blossvale passed away  Friday June 5,2020 at Upstate University Medical Center in Syracuse. Aniela was born October 4,1929 in Poland to parents Ladislov and Anna Mocek. Aniela lost her entire family to Hitler’s regime then met and married Herbert Spencer on September 24, 1947. They moved back home to New York after his discharge from the US Army. Aniela’s husband and family were her lifeblood.
She was a former employee of Oneida Limited-Oneida, NY, talented seedling transplant assistant at Robinson’s Greenhouse-McConnellsville, NY, Professional seamstress at the previous Alvord Dress shop-Lee Center, NY. During the majority of her employment years she became co-proprietor, seamstress and designer in her own business, Orysia Bridals & Formals-Blossvale, NY. She was an exquisite cook and baker, especially her Polish heritage cuisine, avid vegetable gardener, world history enthusiast. She deeply cherished her backyard wildlife and her blueberry and raspberry gardens. Throughout her retirement years she tirelessly devoted herself to her honorary “sawmill supervisor” position.
Aniela is survived by three daughters Aniela (Philip) Stamps, Orysia (Randy) Beers, Linda (Mark) Jekel, her devoted son and caregiver for 30 years Donald Spencer, 7 grandchildren David, Diane, Travis and Scott Stamps and their families, Justin (Bonnie) Beers, Matthew Jekel,  Rainer Beers, one great-granddaughter Abigail and , four great-great-grandchildren Alicia,Darius,Daelan and Adashu. She also deeply loved her close companion dogs Dusty and Ranger and adored her wild bunnies and free-range chickens. Interment will be in Fish Creek Station Cemetery, Sylvan Beach.

Praise God that my Mom, and Grandma + Great Grandma to my sons and their families, is peacefully at rest now. “All the pain and grief is over; Every restless tossing passed. I am now at peace forever; Safely home in heaven at last.” (Safely Home - Unknown Author).
