Cynthia A. McGuinness, 61, formerly of Camden, passed away Saturday, July 4, 2020 at St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center in Utica, NY, with her children by her side. Cynthia was born October 15, 1958 to Herman & Dorothy (Chamberlain) Delaroche.

Cynthia was employed by Oneida County Department of Social Services as a social worker and spent many years working at the Rome Humane Society. Her favorite pastime was singing and playing guitar with her friends and old bandmates (Country in Motion).

She is survived by her five children: George A. McGuinness III, Chittenango NY, Kenneth W. McGuinness, Oswego NY, Jason C. McGuinness, Florence NY, Lisa & Jeremy Skinner, Camden NY, and Theresa McGuinness & Matthew Lane, Taberg NY, 14 grandchildren, Ashley, Xavier, Steven, Devon, Valerie, Trent, Dimitri, Kyle, Jason Jr, Jeremy Jr, Tanner, Dakota, Kayden, and Aurora, and one great-granddaughter, Zoey. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her brothers, Timothy Delaroche and Jim Delaroche.

Calling hours will be from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM, Friday, July 10, 2020 at LaRobardiere Funeral Home, Inc.,109 Main St. Camden, NY. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, only a limited number of guests will be allowed to enter funeral home at one time. All attendees must wear a face covering upon entering, and proper social distancing protocols must be followed once inside the building. Services will begin at 1:00 PM immediately following calling hours. Interment will be in Hillside Cemetery, Hillsboro Road, Camden, NY. Contributions in memory of Cynthia may be made to Rome Humane Society.
