Jailynn R. Roberts, 12, of Camden, NY, passed away Thursday, August 27, 2020 at Golisano Children’s Hospital, Syracuse, NY after a brief illness. She was born October 11, 2007 in Morehead, NC, and was entering 8th grade at Camden Middle School where she was active in modified field hockey and was also a Web Leader. She was a fierce lover of animals and enjoyed the outdoors by going camping, fishing, swimming, four-wheeling, and snowmobiling. She also enjoyed working with arts and crafts.

Jailynn is survived by her mother, Kelly Skinner Korthas and her stepfather, Hal Pickering, and one sister, Kelsie-Lynn Korthas all of Camden, NY,  her two brothers, Brandon Richardson, New Haven, NY and Bradley Richardson, Hastings, NY, a step brother, Hal Pickering Jr., Camden, NY, a niece, Paisley Lynn Clark, her grandparents, Diane Skinner, Blossvale, NY and Bill & Sherry Ellis, Redfield, NY along with several aunts, uncles, and cousins, and her beloved pets, Sally, Luna, Piggy Poo, and Fishy Boy.

There will be a Celebration of Life for Jailynn to be held on Sunday, September 13, 2020 at 2:00pm at Brown’s Rusty Pond, 8905 Morris Road, Canastota, NY. Social distancing and face mask guidelines must be followed. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of LaRobardiere Funeral Home, Inc., Camden, NY. I am so sorry to hear about your daughter my deepest condolences are with you and your family.Th ere are not enough words to express the heartache of losing a child, I know because IMY son passed away 7 years ago.

I am so very sorry about Jailynn. She was such a bright spot in all of our lives. I can't believe that God would take someone with so much love to offer. She was destined for greatness that's for sure. But I guess he had other plans for her...
