I met Jean and Dick when I first joined the Rome Art Association. They both very encouraging to me since I was a beginner artists. Dick knew my father-in-law Mannie Feldman. Jean was very kind and talented lady, I miss not seeing them at the Art meetings. Jean always gave me a big smile and always asked how I was doing. I will miss Jean very much.

Jean and Dick Vollmer were kind, joyous and generous souls, totally committed to the arts and their community. I have such fond memories of this lovely couple, from long days and nights preparing for Holiday House to art receptions and meetings at the Art Center. If I ever needed help, they were there. God bless Jean and her husband...Heaven has two wonderful volunteers now.

My family has fond memories of Jean and Dick from our years at the Art & Community Center. Though I haven't been in Rome for over 25 years, I can hear her melodic voice in my head still. She was a treasure.
