Rodney R. Britton, 68, of Williamstown, NY, passed away at home Monday, October 12, 2020 surrounded by his loving family following a brief illness. He was born in Williamstown, NY on June 3, 1952, a son of William & Julia Oyer Britton, and was a 1971 graduate of Altmar-Parish-Williamstown Central Schools. He served with the U.S. Navy from 1972-1975. On July 28, 1972, he married the love of his life, Keitha Robbins in Williamstown, NY.

Rod worked with the Camden Wire Company for nearly 15 years prior to working at Ostrander’s Market, Maple View, NY for many years. Rod was a lifetime member and former Finance Officer of the Hastings-Gorski American Legion Post #1128. He and Keitha enjoyed dancing on Saturday nights. Rod was an avid woodworker and outdoorsman who loved hunting, fishing, trapping, camping, horseback riding, four wheeling, snowmobiling and simply enjoying nature.

Surviving are his wife, Keitha, a son, Rodney & Angela Britton, II- Waterloo, IL, a daughter, Brenda & John Leemann- Amboy, NY, four grandchildren; Christine Leemann, Meredith Britton, Megan Leemann and Christopher Britton, two sisters, D. Jean & Alfred Kinney- Westdale, NY, Rosalie & William Platt- Williamstown, NY, four brothers, Jerry & Carol Britton, Lawrence Britton & Janet Conway, Brian & Cathy Britton-  all of Williamstown, NY, Steve & Mary Jo Britton- Camden, NY and Keith & Carol Britton- West Monroe, NY, a sister-in-law, Ann Britton- Rensselaer, NY and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by a brother, William Britton and a
sister, Pauline Hale.

Calling hours will be held Thursday from 4-7pm from LaRobardiere Funeral Home, Inc., 109 Main Street, Camden, NY. Graveside services will be held Friday at 12:00 noon at Fairview Cemetery, Williamstown, NY. Memorial contributions in lieu of flowers may be made to Ziyara Shriners Children’s Hospital and /or A.P.W. Dollars for Scholars Program.

Keitha and family. Loretta and I are so sorry to hear of Rod's passing. It is always sad to hear that another friend and person you grew up with has gone on. Please except our heart felt sympathy.
