Ricky J. Finster 61, of Blossvale, NY passed away Saturday April 17, 2021 at Oneida HealthCare after a brief illness as his wife Beth held his hand. He was born October 29, 1959 in Rome, NY a son of John & Sheila Armstrong Finster. Ricky was a truck driver for Carl’s Drugs for over 10 years before he entered the Upholstery industry. He had owned and operated Mid-State Upholstery for over 25 years. On October 21, 1989 he married Beth Baird in Oneida, NY. Together they enjoyed motorcycling, four wheeling and snowmobiling. Ricky loved people and people loved Ricky. He was a member of the American Legion Riders, the Camden Cycle Riders and was a former member of and Trail Coordinator for the Taberg Trail Blazers.
Surviving are his wife, Beth, their son, R. J. Finster, his mother, Sheila Finster, mother-in-law, Lois Clark, all of Blossvale, NY, father- in -law, John & Patty Baird, Camden, NY, a son, Nathan Finster, Michigan, two grandchildren, Zachary and Abby, three sisters, Robin & Tracy Carpenter, Lee Center, NY, Debbie & Dave Kelley, Ava, NY and Becky Finster, Blossvale, NY, three brothers, John Finster, Jr & Vicki Sweatland, Blossvale, NY, Mark Finster & Michelle Williams, Camden, NY, Matthew & Jennifer Finster, Johnson City, NY, a brother- in- law, Jon Baird and several nieces & nephews. Ricky was predeceased by his father, John 1994, a niece, Sarah Farley 1994, and a nephew, John Finster III 2010.
Calling Hours will be held Saturday from 10:00am until 1:00pm from LaRobardiere Funeral Home, Inc., 109 Main Street, Camden, NY. Masks and social distancing apply. Graveside services will be held 2:00pm Saturday at Maple Hill Cemetery, Taberg, NY. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to American Legion Riders c/o Meeker-O’Rourke American Legion Post #1309, 9275 Main Street, Taberg, NY

I have fond memories of hanging with Debi and going to horseback riding lessons as well as many a sleepover and swimming in the pool at The Finster home.... Peace and tranquility for the family. RIP RICKY 🌷

Our condolences to you Beth, RJ and family. We can not fathom what you are going through at this time. We pray for you all to have strength and beautiful memories of Ricky. He was a great guy, we had lots of fun and great memories of our bike rides as the American Legion Riders. Ricky will be truly missed by us.
