Mark C. Gibbs, 29 of South Portland, ME, formerly of Constantia, NY, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, September 23, 2021 in South Portland. He was born in Syracuse, NY on November 19, 1991, a son of Charles Gibbs and Sheila Engelbrecht Peters. Mark graduated from Fayetteville- Manlius High School and National Tractor Trailer School. Mark loved to travel. Driving truck enabled him to have visited the entire ‘lower 48’ states. He lived in several different states such as Washington, Colorado, South Dakota and Florida experiencing the great outdoors in all of them. Mark enjoyed photography, capturing life’s moments and natures beauty. He saw beauty and wonderment in the world and people around him, and recognized the new born, the young and youthful as a gift of mankind.  He enjoyed cooking and worked in various restaurants in his travels. He was currently managing a restaurant in Maine. Mark was also a proud member of Young American’s for Liberty.
Surviving are his parents; Charles & Bonnie Gibbs, Constantia, NY, and Sheila & Joseph Peters, Florida, two sisters, Christine Fandrich, New Jersey, Denise Gibbs & Michael Hoag, Missouri, a brother, Casey Gibbs, Central Square, NY, four step sisters, Michelle Holman, Tammy Simmons, Jodi Watson and Jerri Lynn Tucker along with several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Memorial services will be held 12:00 noon Saturday October 2, 2021 from the United Methodist Church, Cleveland, NY. Calling hours will be held from 11:00am until services. Memorial contributions may be made to the United Methodist Church, Cleveland, NY.
