Peter E. Geer 79, of Cleveland, NY has gone home to live with the Savior of his soul on October 6, 2021. He was born in Albany, NY on July 13, 1942 a son of  Francis ‘Bill’ Geer & Margaret Barr Geer. He attended Stockbridge Schools prior to entering the U.S. Navy. Upon his discharge, he began a lifelong career as a heavy equipment operator retiring about 15 years ago. On Feb 16, 1963 he married the former Barbara Nade in Bennett’s Corners Church.  He was a proud and longtime member of the Fellowship Baptist Church, Verona Beach, NY where he served as Trustee, Sunday School teacher and Vacation Bible School Director. Peter enjoyed spending time outdoors and with his beloved family. In 1993, he was presented with a Civilian Commendation from Syracuse Chief of Police, Frank Sardino for intervening in a robbery and assault that led to an arrest and conviction of the suspect in the 2nd degree.
     Surviving besides his wife, Barbara and a daughter, Victoria Geer, Camden, NY, two sons, Peter & Suzanne Geer, Verona, NY and Eric & Wendy Geer, Cleveland, NY, 13 grandchildren, 25 great great-grandchildren, a sister, Kathy Smith, Oneida, NY and a half sister, Pattie & Frank Perrota, Oneida, NY, three brothers, Tommy Geer, Jewell, NY, Billy Geer, Victor, NY and Chad Geer, Canada along with several nieces & nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by a son, Nathan, 1966, a daughter, Natalie Palmer, 2015, a great grandson, Dakota and a sister, Susie.
     Funeral services will be held 11:00am Wednesday October 13, 2021 from Camden Baptist Church, Rt. 13, Camden, NY under the direction of LaRobardiere Funeral Home, Inc., Camden, NY. Interment Maple Flats Cemetery, Cleveland, NY. Calling hours will be held Tuesday from 4 -8 pm from the funeral home, 109 Main Street.
