Eleanor B. Stanford 97, of Camden, NY, passed away Saturday October 9, 2021 at Bethany Garden’s Skilled Living Center, Rome, NY. She was born in Camden, NY on November 5, 1923, a daughter of Frederick & Lena Quance Keil and was a 1941 graduate of Camden High School.  On December 2, 1942 she married Clayton B. Stanford in Oneida, NY. Mr. Stanford passed away August 8, 2001. Eleanor worked for several years at Williams Stationary and Mystic Stamp Co., She was a longtime member of the United Methodist Church and enjoyed working the church Bazaars. Eleanor also enjoyed camping, playing cards, working with jigsaw puzzles and going over to the casino. In later years she was a member of the Camden Seniors and Westmoreland Seniors.  
Surviving are two daughters, Suzanne & Russ Baer, Aurora, CO, Johanne LaVancher, Sylvan Beach, NY, four grandchildren, Leisa Wood, Donielle & Jason Juenker, Aric & Renee LaVancher and Troy Wood, five great grandchildren and several nieces & nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by three sisters, Mary McDaniels, Nina Brown and Dorothy Walker, six brothers, Clarence, Stuart, August, Harold, Leon and Wesley Keil and a son -in law, Keith LaVancher.
Funeral services will be held 1:00pm Thursday from LaRobardiere Funeral Home, Inc., Camden, NY. Interment Forest Lawn Cemetery, Camden, NY. Calling hours will be held Wednesday from 5 -7 pm at the funeral home, 109 Main Street. Memorial contributions may be made to the Camden Ambulance in lieu of flowers

I am so sorry Johanne and family, I loved your Mom, she and my Mom had a lot of good times together. I have a lot of fond memories of both your Mom and Dad from staying with you Johanne when we were teenagers.
