Brian G. Conley
February 18, 1948 – July 4, 2019

I want to express my condolences to the entire family of Brian G. Conley, to the community, and the Class Of 1966.

There is a picture of Brian, some of our classmates and me in first grade floating around face book somewhere, that was 1954-1955,  I’ve known of Brian since then.

Brian  was always clean cut with an unmistakable crew cut, growing up.  Brian was always sincere and appreciative of every thing he did,  it was like he was on a mission to accomplish and complete what ever had to be done.

Brian would focus on you and if a noise or disturbance was close at hand he would notice that instantly, he would turn his head quickly and notice what was going on to see if it was friend or foe and to access the situation in his area.  It seems like he was always concerned for all.

During the 70’s and early 80’s, Brian would stop at my business and we would visit about what was going on in the community and world.  We found a few minutes of total trust and it was if we where back in grade and high school, only knowing, we had to carry the load of our responsibility for our families and community, that’s how Brian was in every thing he did.

Some may have considered him to be opinionated, but always forth right, with what he believed in, that’s what I liked about Brian.  You could always count on knowing who he was and what he stood for.
I didn’t know his parents very well, Richard and Doris Ferris Conley,  but, looking back they did a wonderful job in raising a family, teaching their children well.

I did know his wife Linda, her parents, Harry and Eleanor Simmons who spoke highly of Brian when ever I saw them.  I knew Brian was doing  for and thinking about his family at all times.

Brian and I never talked much about religion, but I know Brian was a Godly man, he loved his wife Linda, his children,  his  father and mother, his father and mother in law, his siblings, his grandchildren and great grandchildren, he loved us all.

Having read his obituary, I realized he was affiliated with the United Methodist Church of Camden, I know he will be with the Father, Jesus the Christ as Promised.  Brian will be, where there is no more suffering or pain, Brian will be with his parents living Eternally.

“It is not the end, it is just a change”.

What a wonderful man, husband, brother, grandparent, friend and citizen!  Thank you for your service, the great patriot you have been!

It is time for you to rest ole friend, rest in peace, Brian G. Conley.

I miss you, until we meet again.

Oh Linda, and Andrew and whole family, so very sorry to hear that Brian passed away. It was so wonderful to see him at past couple of shows in Syracuse. He was a cherished member and vendor of our club for many years and will truly be missed. Please know my sincere thoughts, prayers and sympathy are with you; and hugs for y'all when I see you in September.

We are so sorry for your loss. Brian was a friend and customer for over 30 years bringing his love for shooting sports to Central New York. Brian was always willing to help a new shooter, and his face at the guns shows will be missed. Until we meet again......
