Catherine T. Morgan 73, of Camden, NY passed away at Oneida HealthCare ECF on Tuesday January 18, 2022. She was born in Rome, NY on November 28, 1948 a daughter of Lauren ‘Luke’ & Catherine Plunkett Haley and was a graduate of Rome Free Academy and received her LPN through B.O.C.E.S. which led her to a career of genuine care and compassion. Catherine worked at Rome Hospital and later, Marcy Psychiatric Center for many years prior to working with addiction recovery at the McPike Addiction Treatment Center, in Utica, NY. She retired in 2003. She had been active in scouting with the Explorer’s, was a passionate supporter of St. Patrick’s Day festivities and as a woman of Faith, attended St. John’s Church.
Surviving are one son, Matthew & Tammy Morgan, two granddaughters, Cassidy & Nick King and Emily Morgan, a great grandson, Carter Wayne King, one sister, Mary Pickard, three sisters -in law, Sally Haley, Sue Haley and Kelly Halukewitz all of Camden, NY and several nieces & nephews. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her three brothers, Lauren ‘Luke’, William ‘Bill’ and Timothy ‘Tim’ Haley and a brother -in law, Robert ’Bob’ Pickard. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Catherine’s caregivers; Jill, Shirley, Tammy and Joy, Camden Home Helpers and the staff at the Oneida HealthCare ECF.
A Funeral Mass will be held 11:00am Friday from St. John’s Church, Camden, NY. Spring interment St. John’s Cemetery, Camden, NY. There will be no calling hours. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of LaRobardiere Funeral home, Inc., Camden, NY. Memorial contributions in lieu of flowers may be made to the Camden Area Food Pantry and/or Camden Ambulance.
