Obituary

Camden—Elizabeth A. Perry, 88, of 20 Masonic Ave. died Friday evening February 18, 2022, in the Abraham House Rome under the care of Hospice.

Elizabeth was born June 27, 1933, in Rome the daughter of Robert and Mary Austin Blair. She was a lifelong resident of the area and was a graduate of Camden High School class of 1951.

On July 26, 1954, she married Austin P. Perry in St. Mary’s Church Florence. Mr. Perry died on April 17, 2005.

The Perry’s owned and operated the Cedar Pine Restaurant in Osceola from 1974-1986. After selling the restaurant they enjoyed their retirement with family and friends. Elizabeth had worked for a time at Mystic Stamp before buying the restaurant.

She was a member of St. John’s Church in Camden. A very outgoing person, Elizabeth loved playing cards with her friends, doing puzzles and sharing great conversation.

Surviving is her son, Robert A. (Mary) Perry of Rome; a daughter Christine A. (Garry) Landry of Longwood, FL; a son-in-law, Darren Harlander of Camden; a brother Donald Blair of Osceola; six grandchildren, Desiree Perry, Austin Perry, Adam Harlander, Amanda Smyth, Sean Cary, and Erin Boley; one great grandchild Mason Perry and Baby Cary due in July.  She was pre-deceased by her parents, her husband, and her daughter Karen J. Harlander.

Private graveside services will be held in the Spring at the convenience of  the family in St. John’s Cemetery Camden. There will be no calling hours. In her memory contributions may be made to Abraham House 1203 Kemble Street Utica, NY 13501. Arrangements have been entrusted to the LaRobardiere Funeral Home, Inc. 109 Main Street Camden, NY 1316.
